1/2 Milton Road

About this property

After 30 years of ownership, a home like this doesn't come up for sale by chance. This classic bay villa has all the character you could hope for. High-stud ceilings, polished timber floors, ornate hallway detailing and charming fireplaces. The bedrooms are large (two with full-height wardrobes), while two defined living spaces also provide the option of a 4th bedroom if required. Sun-seekers will approve. The north-facing section welcomes beautiful light inside and out. Did I mention the cavernous space beneath the house? Forget the usual cramped crawl space. Here, a garage door leads to a head-height basement space that has been used for parking, but also lends itself to a workshop, hobby space and substantial storage. The cross-lease title is another part of the appeal. With less land to maintain, you can enjoy the character and personality of a classic villa without taking on the expense or upkeep of a full section. Imagine upcoming summer evenings looking like this… A short walk around the corner to Stafford Road Wine Bar for a glass of your favourite wine, then it's a toss-up - dinner at The Engine Room or Sfera, followed by a film at The Bridgeway. A 4-minute meander home completes the loop. This is life on Milton Rd. Not only is Northcote Point surrounded by the Waitemata, it also has a village-like feel and a community vibe all of its own. How many other suburbs let you say, “I'll walk today and catch the ferry into town”? Or, returning home, “I'm on Jervois Road - I’ll be home in five.” A beautiful home. A special part of Auckland. A way of life most suburbs can't match. Heartstrings, pulled.
